SMA are able to advise on the design of new build or refurbishment projects for private clients. We have in-depth experience of dealing with the difficult and unique ground conditions encountered in South Wales as a result of historic mine workings and brownfield sites. In areas where old mine workings are an issue, we are able to advise on the types of special foundations which will be required; on brownfield sites e.g. contaminated ground conditions, we are able to liaise with Geotechnical Consultants to propose the most cost efficient solution for the site.

We are also able to undertake the structural design for the elements of existing properties which a client may wish to convert, extend or refurbish.
