Structural Engineering

SMA will advise on the design of new build industrial units from foundations to the structural framework. We have in-depth experience of dealing with the difficult and unique ground conditions encountered in South Wales particularly historic mine workings and brownfield sites. In areas where old mine workings are an issue, we are able to advise on the types of special foundations which will be required on brownfield sites we are able to liaise with Geotechnical Consultants to propose the most cost efficient solution for the site.

We are also able to undertake structural design for all elements of house construction and also have extensive experience in the refurbishment of properties, e.g. warehouses, old residential properties.
